Delete Your Data

This page explains how to request deletion of data associated with your use of the LOCKR mobile application ("LOCKR" or "the App"), available on iOS and Android. LOCKR is published by the LOCKR developer ("we", "us"), reachable at lockrappdev@gmail.com.

How to Request Deletion

Option 1: In-App Deletion

The fastest way to delete your LOCKR data is from inside the app:

  1. Open LOCKR.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete My Data.
  4. Confirm the prompt. Your local data is wiped immediately, and a deletion request is sent for any associated server-side records.

Option 2: Uninstall the App

Uninstalling LOCKR removes all locally stored data from your device, including blocking configurations, schedules, on-device usage logs, coach personalization, and cached subscription state.

Option 3: Email Request

If you cannot use the in-app option, send an email to lockrappdev@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Data". Include:

  • The email address or Apple ID / Google Play account associated with your LOCKR purchase (if any).
  • The approximate date you started using LOCKR.
  • The platform you used (iOS or Android).

We will process the request and confirm completion within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

On a deletion request, the following is removed:

  • All local app data on your device, including blocking configurations, schedules, coach personalization, and cached subscription state (deleted immediately on uninstall or in-app deletion).
  • Any first name you entered for coach personalization.
  • Any account-level identifiers (such as your Superwall app user ID) and the engagement and feature-configuration metrics associated with that identifier (conversations opened, messages sent, unlocks granted, minutes granted/used, app open count, etc.).
  • Future advertising and analytics events tied to your installation.

AI coach conversation messages are not persisted on our servers in the first place — they are sent to the AI processing provider only to generate a response and are not retained. There is nothing to delete on our side for past coach conversations.

What May Be Retained

Some limited data may be retained after a deletion request, only where retention is required for one of the following purposes:

  • Subscription and purchase records: retained as required by Apple, Google Play, and applicable tax / accounting / fraud prevention laws. These records are managed by Apple and Google under their own platform terms.
  • Aggregated, anonymous analytics and crash data: data that is fully aggregated or de-identified and cannot be tied to you may be retained to operate, secure, and improve the App.
  • Records required to comply with legal obligations (such as responding to lawful requests, tax records, or anti-fraud requirements). Retention periods follow the applicable legal requirement.

Third-Party Advertising Data (Meta and TikTok)

LOCKR uses the Meta Pixel/SDK and the TikTok Pixel/SDK to measure paid marketing campaigns. Past advertising events shared with Meta or TikTok are governed by those platforms' own data controls. To request deletion of advertising data held by them, use:

  • Meta: Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Download or delete your information, or visit Meta's Off-Facebook Activity controls.
  • TikTok: Settings and privacy → Account → Download your data / Delete account, or use TikTok's Privacy and Settings controls.
